Question: I have a juniper bonsai tree. if it skips a dormancy period, will it die?

Will it die soon, or can it wait until the next dormancy period?

Depends on the juniper species. If it is a cold lovin' type, not having that dormancy will have drained a lot of stored energy from the plant and will not have allowed growth buds to finish forming. The amount of chilling necessary depends on the species......some do quite well with minimal.......since some grow in the desert southwest. Hard to say how your plant will contend with the lack of winter chill.
