Question: What is a good bonsai tree to buy as a gift for someone who hasn't had one before?

I'm trying to get a bonsai tree for a friend as a present and I need to know what a good one is for someone who has never had a bonsai tree before. It should be easy to take care of and should be less than $30. Thanks

There is no such thing as an "easy to take care of " bonsai. It is a long time consuming process, and not for someone who may not want one. Get a potted plant.

Make one yourself. Juniper procumbens images.search.yahoo.com/ search/ images?_adv_prop= image &fr= ush-ans &va= juniper+ procumbens &sz= all is a very easy first time plant to bonsai.
