Most Bonsai trees are made from an evergreen, so no not really. But even evergreen trees loose some needles in the winter, but if kept indoors, very little loss. Bonsai trees are just regular trees that have been trained to stay small. If you use a deciduous tree, yes, it will loose it's leaves in the winter, but a lot of that is caused by the first frost, if it is indoors, it may be much later, as well as much later to have the leaves return. |
