Question: I think my bonsai tree is dead?

So I got a bonsai tree in like december and it was doing well until about 3 months ago it started turning brown. I tried giving it more light and changed the water because our tap water has salt in it (well water) but it just kept getting worse. Now the pines are a dark brown, is it dead? =[ is there anything I can do at this point or should I invest in a new one?

Remember, it's a tree and not a house plant. if trees were house plants, you'd see them indoors more often, most likely called "house trees. " if the pine needles are brown, then yes, it is dead. remember, it's a tree, it lives outside (protected from frost and ice) and should be watered with rain water, preferably the rain water that falls from the sky when it "rains " on all the other "trees "

Unfortunately your bonsai plant is dead. It was probably dead when you bought it unless you got it directly from a bonsai nursery. They stay green for quite a while even though they are dead.
