Question: How can i revive my bonsai tree?

A friend bought us a bonsai tree from Home Depot for Chinese New Year. I've noticed lately that it's getting really dry and not as bright as when I got it. I've watered it regularly but it's still dry. Any ideas?

It could be one of many issues. 1. it could be dying due to lack of sunlight, people have a huge misconception that if bonsai can be kept in house that means it grows inside as well. bonsai is a plant , and plants need sunlight to grow. 2. its' just the time for the plant to like shed its leaves, a common thing in winter/ autumn season, depending on the plant. that's about what i can think of now, rest maybe next time.

It really depends on what kind of plant it is, I can say, that you should probably let it dry out before you water it again, and unless it turns yellow in the sun, or borwn, let it have plenty of sun.If it does discolor, chang it to indirect sunlight. Let me know if you need any more advice. -Michael
